 Hoarding Hints

Advertising through hoardings is big business. Owners of buildings, including societies, try to augment their resources by successfully exploiting this source of revenue. Hoardings are put up on the terrace or in the compound or on the walls of a building. We also find roadside hoardings which generally belong to advertising agencies. As these hoardings are big enough, and leveled quite high, they are easily spotted. Their bright colours and larger than life figures catch everyone's eyes. This is the reason why hoardings are so much in demand.

Companies prefer to display thier products and information on hoardings as a lot of people tend to view hoardings en route to their workplace or while going home. Hoardings reach out to a vast section of society.

Points to remember while booking a hoarding for advertisement:

Area : You should decide on which area you wish to advertise in. Do you want your hoarding to be in South Mumbai or in Central Mumbai. The location of your hoarding will depend on the type and class of client you wish to reach out to.

Rates : This again depends on the area and exposure. But approximately the price for a hoarding varies between Rs. 40,000 to Rs.4,00,000

Time : Heavy discounts are available if you book a hoarding for a long period of time. Charges per month are cheaper if you book the hoarding for a longer duration.

Sight : Hoardings on the way from Borivali to Churchgate are called the morning sight as people view the hoardings while rushing to their workplaces, and the hoardings from Churchgate to Borivali is called the evening sight.

Focus : If you wish to have a bright light that focuses on your hoarding at night, this could cost you more.

Hoardings at different places belong to different agencies, and have to be booked on a rent basis. Generally its very difficult to find an empty hoarding in Mumbai, .
