How was the foundation of The Hiranandani Empire laid?
have been into business for about 25 years. Being a qualified chartered
accountant, getting into business was absolutely by default. During
the initial business years, I found that the business we were into
did not give us the necessary wherewithal of being proud of all
the work that we were doing.The builders did not bother about the
quality of material used, nor did they bother to check if it was
substandard. I strongly felt that we needed to make a substantial
paradigm shift into the business process that we followed. The first
thing we did was improve the quality of our work, with major emphasis
on constructing buildings and infrastructure of sound quality, ensuring
a long life and low maintenance cost. Initially , even though we
had to sell the flats at a lower price, we did not charge any additional
amount for giving superior quality of materials nor did we charge
them anything extra for additional amenities."
What sets you apart from the innumerable other builders of Mumbai?
developers we always thought of not only giving a dwelling unit,
but also a better quality of life. The housing complexes that we
have developed, have 40% area reserved for gardens, trees and parks.
We have also created amenities like shopping centers, supermarkets,
entertainment centers, game centers, club-houses etc. Our housing
complexes have been landscaped and designed by the best in the field.

"Over the last three decades, Mumbai has grown by leaps
and bounds and is ranked as the business or commercial capital of
India. Due to this and the ever increasing expansion of economy
and industry, in and around the city, there has been a constant
increase in the need for ownership properties. Due to the near-unavailability
of land for development within the metro, a trend has now started
wherein different pockets of residential-cum-commercial premises
are being developed and offered to customers. Our attempt is to
make each such project one which has schools/colleges, hospitals,
banks, bus depots, gardens and modern communication facilities.
The quality of construction in such projects has improved with emphasis
on, providing wide open recreational areas, gardens, club houses,
shopping plazas and much more. This trend has attracted many to

"I believe in positive contribution to the society. Most
of my work has been in the real estate field. I cherish being able
to share my good experiences in order to improve the development
of the industry and provide a good environment to live in. Besides
this, contributing in the area of social and cultural issues gives
me great satisfaction since I believe in 'what society gives you,
you ought to give it back."

Prinston, Olympia...what inspired the names of the buildings
at your complex?
"I believe in providing a good product. Names are an additional
point to make it beautiful, but there is no significance behind
them. A good product speaks for itself."
