Bhogilal & Co. - Catering to every household need

People turning the pages of history, will certainly come across the name of C Bhogilal & Co, one of the famous dealers of tiles and marbles, since ages. The company was established in the year 1914 under the name of the visionary businessman, C Bhogilal, who is also the founder of the company. Today the company has been passed on to the fourth generation torch bearer, Viral Shah.

Viral Shah - The fourth generationThe company began as one of the premier dealers in the finest quality of tiles and marbles in Bombay (as it was known). Over the years, as the business developed, the company expanded its range of services and products, underwent lots oof changes yet one thing remains unchanged is the quality of products. "We believe in giving our customers the best of services and products. No one can ever say that we have ever indulged in false promises in order to sell our products. We are confident that if our product is good , the customer will come back to us and only us." revealed Viral.

Finest ranges of toiletwareBeginning with exotic designs of tiles, today the company also offers to its customer, one of the finest ranges of toiletware and kitchenware and believe it or not, all this at a very responsible price range. "People have this impression that Bhogilal caters only to the niche customer. We are trying to break this myth that has been conceptualised by our customer, by coming up with innovative options for even the middle class."

Lots of time and experience has gone behind each piece designed by the company. Similarly equal amount of thinking has gone behind the showroom's decor. Every step in the showroom is like watching your dream interiors enfolding before your eyes. "We invite everyone to our showroom with open arms , irrespective whether you want to buy our products or not. Come and browse around and then if you like, pick your piece. We will show you all the different company ranges, discussing the pro and cons of every product, then we leave the customer to decide."

CristalloToday they have succeeded in making one of the most exotic ranges of basinware, made of quality glasses, under the brand name Cristallo. Most of the glasses are from India, only the coloured ones are imported from Belgium, a country famous for its quality glass. These glasses are then fed into specially designed moulds. Modern techniques are used to make unique designs, like spray painting, frosting glass et al. Cristallo products are not manufactured in bulk since the business is still in a premature stage. The company has got in touch with distributors all over India to sell the new concept to the Indian masses.

"Mumbai has always been one of the prime consumer of glassware and it still holds that position, followed by Bangalore and Pune. These glass range which was an 'in' thing in Europe long back has recently caught up in the Indian market and as we can forsee it's stay here. As far as the competition in the field is concerned, we are one of the front runners. We forsee the suburbs as one of the growing market places. Therefore our next major step would be to open an outlet in that area," said Viral.

Keeping in the mind the demand of foreign products in India, the company has tied up with major companies worldwide and is gradually becoming one of their major dealers. Bisazza of Italy, CristalloGrohe of Germany, American Standard of America, are few of the new ventures. Talking about the durability of these foreign products, Viral said that all are siuted to the Indian climate and have been designed accordingly. The company's showroom uses all the products, that are sold to the customer. "We wanted to have one of the largest glass mosaics and murals in town and there could not be a better place than our outlet. We believe that before selling a product, we should be convinced about its texture and life. And that's the reason behind introducing Italian flooring, German toiletware and handmade tiles for inhouse use."

"This is one of the only kind showroom in Mumbai, which greets its customers with a big smile and runs as a transit for clients and friends. We are here to serve everyone."

So all you out there, do drop in at C Bhogilal, browse around, at your pace, look through all the products. Muse over the mural, splash in the functional jacuzzi, relax in the steam-shower cubicle, and then walk away with a bathroom of your dreams.
